Blind Willie McTell – Statesboro Blues

William Samuel McTell, much better identified as Blind Willie McTell (Might 5, 1898 (at times noted as 1901 or 1903) August 19, 1959), was an influential American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was a twelve-string finger finding Piedmont blues guitarist, and recorded 149 songs between 1927 and 1956.

For blind people music was often the only way to earn a living. Even these days blind folk work as piano tuners!
