I have an aged 100 Gallon boiler that heats my home. To say the least it is much less than successful and I am seeking to conserve some funds on gasoline this yr. I have taken the insulation in my attic from a R virtually practically nothing to an R39. I was questioning if it would be effective and safe and sound to set two (because it is so big) water heater blankets around it. Although I do enjoy thoughts I would like to listen to from some pros who have an knowledgeable remedy.

If the heater is created for a blanket it may support a tiny bit on your invoice to wrap it. You must look at the heater and make the determination if it is safe to do so. With the age and design and style of the boiler the insulation may be a waste of time however.
